One-to-one work

Mentoring & services

Focused, practical support for creative practice, neurodivergent learning, poetry manuscripts and music projects.

Services

Individual support, shaped around the work

Sessions take place online unless agreed otherwise. Five- and ten-session packages provide continuity while leaving room for the work to evolve.

  • Single 60-minute session£95
  • Five sessions£450
  • Ten sessions£850

Neurodiversity and learning

NMH & Private Neurodiversity Mentoring

Non-clinical, developmental support focused on planning, executive functioning, sustainable routines, workload, communication, self-advocacy and understanding individual patterns of attention, energy and sensory need.

  • Five private sessions£360
  • Ten private sessions£680

DSA-funded NMH: support is arranged and invoiced through the approved provider or institutional funding route. The private rates and Access Rate Scheme do not replace an agreed DSA rate.

Access Rate Scheme

Cost should not automatically prevent access.

A limited proportion of private-client capacity is reserved for people receiving benefits, living in a low-income household or experiencing significant financial hardship.

Supported Rate

50% reduction

For applicants receiving a means-tested benefit or student hardship funding, living in a low-income household, or managing substantial unavoidable caring, housing, disability or related costs.

Access Rate

75% reduction

Reserved for more substantial hardship, including reliance on benefits without earned income, very low household income, housing insecurity, asylum support, care-leaver status or serious short-term financial crisis.

How it works

  • Approximately 20% of private-client capacity is reserved for access-rate work.
  • Up to ten subsidised sessions are normally available per person in a rolling twelve-month period.
  • Eligibility is reviewed after six months and may be renewed when capacity allows.
  • Monthly instalments are available for packages without interest.
  • Organisation-, employer-, publisher-, label-, university- or DSA-funded work is not eligible.

A brief, confidential application

Applicants select the 50% or 75% rate and provide a broad household-income band, household size, funding position and any significant costs the income figure does not reflect.

A recent benefit or hardship-fund confirmation, income summary, referral from a support organisation, or self-certification where documents are unsafe or disproportionately difficult may be used. A diagnosis is never required.

Privacy and dignity

Only the minimum information needed to make a decision is requested.

Applicants should redact National Insurance numbers, bank details, addresses and health information. Evidence is used to establish eligibility and then deleted; only the approved rate, decision date and review date are retained. Please do not send medical records, bank statements or unredacted documents by email.

Practical details

Clear agreements protect the work.

Preparation

Standard mentoring includes reasonable advance preparation and concise follow-up notes. Extensive reading, listening, annotation or project management is quoted separately.

Packages

Five- and ten-session packages can be paid upfront or by an agreed instalment plan. Session frequency and the period in which a package is used are confirmed before booking.

In-person and organisational work

Travel, studio attendance, in-person work and commissions from organisations are quoted separately. Institutional and commercial rates differ from private-client rates.

Scope

Mentoring is educational and developmental. It is not therapy, clinical treatment, crisis support, legal advice, literary representation or music management.
